OVERVIEW 

Few corners of residential Mallorca combine exclusivity, tranquillity and scenery quite like the neighbourhood of Real Golf Bendinat – and this charming villa has a prime position. As the electronic gates close behind you, you’ll feel yourself relax into its laid-back charm. The property itself is an attractive blend of traditional Mediterranean architecture, terracotta tiling and natural stone, while inside Eastern-inspired decor combines with whitewashed walls and a sense of calm throughout. 

As well as lots of cosy room indoors, outside a sunny terrace provides spectacular views over the neighbouring golf course and the shimmering sea beyond. ‘Chanden’ is the word for moon in Hindi, and both the moonrise and sunset from the various patio are particularly dreamy. It all comes together for a superb home-from-home with comforts where they count and the perfect base for enjoying your time on the island. 

SETTING

Named after the world-class golf course that forms part of the Bendinat area, this neighbourhood is one of the island’s most exclusive. As well as the fairways practically on your doorstep, you’re close to some of the best beaches on Mallorca’s southwest coast including the twin coves of Iletas and Contesa, just five minutes’ drive away. You’re also less than 10 minutes from Port Portals and its buzzing marina, while the capital Palma is just 15 minutes by road. 

SLEEPING

The villa offers five bedrooms spread over two floors to comfortably sleep up to nine guests, and each room with its own bathroom. The master bedroom affords particularly lovely views, as well as bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and twin sinks. Decor blends warm woods with terracotta tiles and Asian touches to cosy and elegant effect. 

RELAXING

A freeform pool offers a sunny spot to cool off and a corner from where you can gaze over the green-meets-blue landscape. Cushioned poolside lounger provide a great place to dry off, or head to the upper terrace to the Bali-style bed for the ultimate chill-out space. Indoors, the open plan lounge offers leather sofas in front of a fireplace you can light on chillier evenings, as well as a huge TV for movie nights. From here, French doors also open onto that open onto a large terrace and a great spot for summer sundowners. 

EATING 

For those who like the cook, the kitchen provides everything you’ll need from top-range appliances to granite counter tops, as well as lovely views through picture windows while you prep. If you like to cook outdoors, the upper terrace also offers a built-in barbecue grill. 

For eating out there’s certainly no shortage of nearby options. There are two great spots at Illetas beach just minutes away, or a plethora of upscale restaurants at Port Portals.
