Bright and welcoming villa with stunning sea views

OVERVIEW 

Some holiday villas just have that special something that makes you feel at home as soon as you set foot through the door. Casa Gardenia is one such property. It’s a lovely Mediterranean-style villa brimming with homely charm, modern comforts and spaces flooded with sunlight. Plus, the views it affords over a broad shimmering bay are absolutely divine. 

The Mediterranean palette, of azure skies and glistening blue sea, is echoed in the villas traditional wooden shutters and gorgeous infinity pool. There’s a wonderful sense of space and light from the outside terrace, too, while those incredible views can be enjoyed from numerous windows and French doors. It all combines for a fabulously inviting home-from-home, ideal for sharing families or large groups of friends, with the perfect hillside location neighbouring the lovely Camp de Mar beach resort. 

SETTING

Casa Gardenia is set in a serene and upmarket hillside neighbourhood on the southwest coast of Mallorca. With its lovely golden sand beach, the upscale resort of Camp de Mar is just is just a few minutes by car, or an easy stroll downhill. Golfers can find the 18-hole Golf de Andratx course here, too. 

If you’re keen to get out on the water, you can easily charter a boat in nearby Port d’Andratx, less than a 10-minute drive. You’re also within easy reach of the island’s buzzing capital, Palma, at under 30 minutes by road, with the airport around the same distance. 

SLEEPING

The villa comfortably sleeps up to ten guests in its five bedrooms. On the ground floor is one double room with ensuite bathroom, and a triple room with single beds and a private bathroom, plus and another double bedroom with separate bathroom. Two of the ground floor bedrooms have lovely sea views and direct access to the pool and terraces. 

The first floor has an additional two double bedrooms, one with ensuite bathroom, its own private terrace and magnificent sea vistas. The second double also opens to a sun terrace with sea views and separate bathroom, as well as a twin room with ensuite bathroom. 

RELAXING

It’s likely you’ll be wanting to spend a big chunk of your holiday just soaking in the beautiful infinity-edge pool while gazing out over the stunning sea-view panorama. There are plenty of adjustable cushioned lounger to flop onto once you get out, plus parasols and a lovely big outdoor seating area great for socialising. 

If you’re keen to practise your serve, you’re also just steps from the villa’s private tennis court, with rackets and balls provided. There’s a living room with a fireplace too, if you’d rather get cosy indoors. 

EATING 

A fully-equipped, sea-view kitchen makes cooking here a real pleasure, plus there’s a separate walk-in larder and a big family-size fridge-freezer. If you fancy firing up the barbecue, you’ll find a gas grill outside as well as a lovely long table for dining together alfresco.

There are some great places to eat in nearby Camp de Mar, too, most famously the Restaurant Illeta which sits on a tiny island accessible via a footbridge. You’re also just a short hop from the Beach Club Gran Folies, where you can enjoy top-notch cuisine and a fabulous bay-side swimming pool.
